To make people laugh, weep, squirm, rejoice, fight, rage, win, romance, and celebrate their own being with my poems, short stories, and quips that I share through my books, on social media, and in my videos. Honestly, I just want people to love me for who I am; yeah, that’s the truth.

Welcome to my website!
Hi I am Rini (as if my name written in bold letters all over this website was not enough), I identify myself as an inherently curious cat (maybe in my past life I was an Egyptian Cat Goddess) and at other times as a fire-spewing dragon. When I am in a good mood, I feel like a Mermaid, which makes me wonder if I belong to the Earthly World of Fire or to the Watery Underworld hmmm….
Having said all this, I am most certainly a dreamer, a doer, a woman who has a penchant for the joy of learning, reading, researching and writing.

About Me

About Her, Herself, and She

After 14 years of dabbling in different professions that had absolutely no correlation with each other, with a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology, Rini stands at the intersection of Science, Literature, Arts, Commerce, and Music, applying the knowledge of each of these fields to any work that she does. Phew!

Her peers popularly remember her as a story peddler—a whacko who narrates compelling, animated, and memorable stories that are mostly funny and sometimes tear-jerky (for as long as she remembers, she was always a writer at heart and always wanted to be one). She is a self-taught singer and a sketch artist. She is also an amateur endurance athlete. She hikes, runs, cycles, and swims long distances for fun (basically, she is a polymath).

To sum up her introduction, Rini is an inherently curious cat, a dreamer, a doer, and a woman who has a penchant for the joy of learning, reading, researching, and writing her heart, lungs, and kidneys out. She writes more than she speaks, ahem. That’s all.

MY WORK

My Best Seller

Haiku poems are Japanese poems written in three lines with no rhyming scheme per se, but they follow a strict 5-7-5 syllable structure. Traditionally, they explore themes of nature and deep realizations drawn from immersive personal experiences in nature, such as seeing a rain frog jump in the pond and having a profound philosophical ‘eureka’ moment about life….tch tch tch sorry Basho San, I had to crack this joke

MY first book

An Indian Girl’s World of Haikus

Haiku poems are Japanese poems written in three lines with no rhyming scheme per se, but they follow a strict 5-7-5 syllable structure. Traditionally, they explore themes of nature and deep realizations drawn from immersive personal experiences in nature, such as seeing a rain frog jump in the pond and having a profound philosophical ‘eureka’ moment about life….tch tch tch sorry Basho San, I had to crack this joke!

I, most definitely, did not stick to the themes of nature because what started as a self-improvement creative exercise, which involved me deviating from my usual long-form free verse poetry writing style, ended up as a haiku-writing addiction, so much so that I started writing every episode of my life in haikus …..Yeah…fentanyl can kiss Haiku’s arse goodbye!
